According to popular definitions; A postcard is a rectangular piece
of thick paper or cardboard that one side is illustrated and the other side
is a text for selection, suggestion and affection for the recipient. In the past, receiving a postcard from the post office was a special asset for the recipient which could become so valuable to the sender that he would be diligent to maintaine it, even until death. But today, in the modern world, with the spread of
virtual space and instant sending of all kinds of animated and creative images that are devoid of grace and value even on virtual pages, postcards and mails
are certainly not useful.
The 5th international exhibition of postcards of
Carbafoo in collaboration with Noorian Art Group frome September 24 to Oc-
tober 1, 2024 at the Melanitros Gallery in Athens and then on February 7,
2025 for a week at the Javid Gallery in Tehran, as a result of its main goal
based on recalling the value and importance of this nostalgic piece with refer-
ence to this important part of the memory l as well as the values ​​of
an artwork, intends to increase communication and dialogue between artists and galleries from different cities and countries in joint exhibition events.
Therefore, in this project, Carbafoo is giving more opportunities to young people
emerging artists in the form of a curated collection, showing works from the
perspective of young Iranian artists.
